It's Monday and you know what that means..... THE WEEKEND IS OVER😫! Wait a couple days, there will be another one. Until then it's Makeup Monday🥳!!!!
Lets jump right into this thing shall we. A pivotal lesson that I am learning with makeup is when you go big on the eyes you gotta go home on the lips. What do you mean? So very glad that you asked, when you do a bold or dramatic eye it is in your best interest to go subtle on the lips. Now if you are someone who treads lightly in the lip area then this isn't breaking news for you. I however young grasshopper, am a bold lipstick connoisseur. I have red, orange, aqua blue, dark blue, green, deep pink, hot pink, grey, dark grey etc
I actually was notorious for eyelashes and just some dope lipstick because when your hair is done right and you're in a rush you often times either don't need a lot or don't have time for a lot so lipsticks were my go to. I don't even own one container of Chapstick now because all I wore was lipstick. Of course Ms.Rona and our undying need for masks kind of killed that for a while, which I was not fond of cause my lips are one of my best features AaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaMen! But in the wake of getting more into eye make up just because I like to switch my look up and because I want to give ideas to the female who may not have them but wants to do something that's not drastic, I've learned going loud on one means going quieter on the other. They're not competing but complimenting and that's important to know. I used to literally make my lipstick the star no matter what and that can cause it to be a fallen star sometimes LOL. We don't wish to do that anymore lol.

This what yet another photoshoot day and I needed to be right for my pictures for my brand. I was not necessarily in the mood so if that's how I look in the video it is indeed accurate. However I know that consistency and productivity are my greatest allies right now so regardless to how I felt I got to it. I really did like this look. I saw it on Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls and loved it instantly. I didn't study the lips but I did the eyes and so I knew if the eyes were yellow we were going more neutral on the lips. Just for reference sake bold eye colors will almost always mean a brown or nude lip and if you hate being repetitive in your look like me than just rotate the subtilty between your eyes and lips and that will still give you the chance to do the vibrant lip. Believe it or not, I have a yellow lipstick, it's a mustard color but I just felt like a softer tone was better. I've also done a grey base color and then put yellow eyeshadow on my lips to create the hombre....maybe I'll do another one like that next so you can see it. Anyway, I enjoyed mixing these lip colors together. I am not big on lip liners, it's just a preference. They leave a large margin for error when I use them because again I am not a makeup artist. It's easier for me to use a darker tone lipstick as my outline and then fill in and edit with other lipsticks. What do you mean by edit? I did not plan on using a third color for my lipstick but it needed it, and when you have multiple colors it becomes easier to fix something you think is a miss. Sidebar this is why its good to have multiple shades of the same "basic" color. It can add dimension to your look if and when you start mixing them together. Make sense? I also want to encourage you to go look at the NYX Cosmetics website. I'm into the lippie lip cream (which is the squeeze tube and the 2nd lipstick I used) and they keep having these promotions where if you spend $40 they will give you two of those free. So if you like those, and I do, it's a quick way to rack them up!
Alright, I'm done running my mouth. The video is below enjoy!
Believe it or not my stories on the street was done and I literally got moving to late to post it but don't worry it's been scheduled for this Saturday! THIS IS HAPPENING 😂!
