Good Morning! Hope you all had a slow weekend. Feels like you leave work on Friday and blink and it's Monday and you're back at your desk but thank GOD for a job right? Right.
You know what time it is, let's talk about this Makeup.
If you know me to any degree than you know that you rarely if ever see me with a Smokey eye. They have to be executed delicately and I've not excelled at this in the past. Your outfit choice also can be make or break the task. As you know I'm not a makeup artist. I do this for people like me who don't look good in full face makeup but do our best 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒌 when we just enhance what GOD has given us or for people who know they need to do something but don't know where to start. But the Smokey eye is one of those things where full face beat seems to bring that whole look together.
I have to be honest as far as the launch of my day was concerned, this day was not an easy one. I had to fight my way out of bed and through getting dressed and motivated. I had ZERO desire to get up and do a mini shoot or go to church but I was also well aware that I needed to do both. One of the keys to beating depression is to do everything you don't 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍 like doing. Consistency and productivity do things for your moral that medicine, man, woman, boy and girl can't do. Since I know this despite how I was feeling I was going to push myself. So since I didn't want to do anything it made my makeup choice a wild card because (I can't speak for you but) I pick my makeup based off how I'm feeling and what I'm thinking. Being that I wasn't in the mood my choice this particular day (which was indeed yesterday) was in sync with me persay so while it wasn't a normal choice for me because I was somewhere different mentally it actually fit.
I have to give a lot of credit to the L'OREAL color pallet I used because everything I needed essentially was in that little compact. I know most MUA have these big beautiful palletes with all of these colors and the vibrancy of it all is intoxicating but don't forsake little ones like the one I used here. They give you little choice while simultaneously giving you all you need and so if you have just a little application knowledge it's fool proof. So if you get in a mood where you wanna do something different for you or out of your box or comfort zone acquire a few of those little blessings. They'll guide you along the way. Now the pallet I used is a 𝒇𝒆𝒘 years old. However I did include the link to one relatively close to what I used if you're interested.
Another lesson I learned yesterday is that I liked my concealer a lot more when I smeared it side to side as oppose to when I make 3 or 4 horizontal mini lines under my eye. It blended almost flawlessly. I felt like that was worth relaying. I haven't even been using concealer for a year I'm learning as I go how to cover the 9 pound bags under my eyes. 𝑨𝑵𝒀𝑾𝑨𝒀!
