SPACE GIRL

If I am to be completely honest, and that is what I am and aim to be, this was not one of my more favorite looks in person. I had to move recently and if you have moved before and especially in haste, I don't have to tell you that some items you had at your previous residence you will just never see again. When you're packing you are just so positive that you will remember where you put and placed everything but the truth of the matter is, you remember NOTHING. And then some of it I'm convinced jumps out the box and decides it wants to stick around for the next tenants because it's tired of living with you. Whatever the case may be I loss two things that I would have preferred to have kept handy as it pertains to Makeup Monday. One of them being my Concealer brush because I am not a fan of the beauty blender. Apparently you need to change them out once a week otherwise when you use it the concealer will be on the side of your nose and have way down your cheeks from dabbing. The second thing I lost that is pivotal and effects my process is the plug that goes into my big ring light that I had only had for a month before I moved. So currently when doing my makeup I have to use the bathroom light. I don't know what it is about your home bathroom light but you don't see what you really look like until you get in the car and look in the rearview mirror or until you get to your destination and that my friends is not a fun experience.

I do indeed love red eyeshadow but from this experience and previous ones and one yet to come that you will see in a few weeks, it would appear that it does not share my affection. It also seems to go on louder than it appears and you can't see that until ya get the freak out in public. It's hard for me to balance and it is also a difficult color (for me) to pair with another lipstick. Being "all reded out" can be a wash. Red is not like other colors though oddly enough in clothing I wear it almost better than any other...........splain that one Lucy.
For another twist in the equation but something that is very real and that you need to know, there are makeup looks that do not translate so well in "everyday life" but work very well in photo shoots and pictures. So while in person I looked a tad extreme and even overly red between my eyes and cheeks, these pictures, editorially, are actually kind of dope as I'm looking at them while writing this blog. One thing I've learned the hard way about pictures is that natural beauty does not always translate on camera as it does in person and the same can be said for "doing too much", it's a lot in real time but is fabulous in still frame. So while I probably looked crazy and even a little clowinsh in church, my pictures is fire LOLOLOL! That said the video is below. Always keep in mind I do this because I am an advocate for self esteem and I just want to give you ideas encase full face makeup overwhelms you or you just don't like or you like me don't look your best with it. There are other options to explore so that you always feel good about yourself. Somedays you can roll out of bed and sometimes you need to roll some makeup on your face and its ALL GOOD!
I will see you all back here for Fashion Fridays and we gone see what we can do about getting the "Stories On The Street Saturdays" back up and running. Have a Fantastic Week Loves!
