YELLOW GIRL

If you've made it over here to the blog than WELCOME BELOVED! Kisses and Smooches to you and please let not thyself be a stranger. Happy Monday which I know is an Oxymoron but it's okay, those work here. I'm kind of excited to talk about this one today. I usually do these videos based on the order they are in my phone but I needed to do this one from yesterday today because I felt a freshness about it that made me want to talk and share......which if you know anything about Riecee Siren, IS RARE! I actually think I'm going to do a little vlog about this hair too so keep your eyes peeled. Anyway back to this task we have here today.
I can not express to you how scared I was of this hair color. I'm talking majorly frightened! People see me do colors all the time and I think there is this perception that I'll try anything or I just like loud things and both of those are widely false in every sense. I literally was kind of backed into the corner that had this color and it was not willingly. I actually wanted to do this right after my grey hair but I was so scared that I put it off and had to wear my hair out for 2 weeks because of the fear of this color. My goal is not to be the brightest crayon in the box, just the flyest and among the prettiest so the era where I just did things concerning my look without weighing it out is GONE! I'm just about whatever compliments me the best and that goes for hair, clothes, makeup ALL OF THAT! I just wanna be the best version of me. So some might say then find one thing and do it all the time, to that I say that I get bored or complacent or unimpressed once I have a look for a little while so its actually necessary for me to change my look at least once a month. It keeps the morale up. And you know it's true, this is why women who go through changes, the FIRST thing they do is color or chop their hair because they feel like they need a "fresh start". I just keep my start fresh, that's all.

Let's get to the makeup part of this shall we? Due to the difference of this hair color, the makeup approach is pivotal. This color actually makes the dark circles under my eyes glow. I'm not even lying, its like it highlights them so I knew I had my work cut out. I'm also aware that this color can read ratchet if not tended to with care so it was really going to be a collaborative effort to make the hair and makeup work. Once I found what I wanted to do to the hair it was time to tackle the makeup. I was extremely concerned about looking clownish so my full intention was to do the nude approach. Kind of a mute color palette to make sure everything was cool. However the yellow and bronze eye along with the brown/tan lip wasn't working and I could see it so because I took the time to play and see what worked I had the time to fix what wasn't. You don't force a square peg into a round hole, you go find the round peg. When I put the pink lipstick on it freed me and allowed me to see that color was an option for this, it actually was the best option with this.

So the headband you see me wearing came from my IPSY subscription and yes I did put the link there for you if you decide after my description that you would indeed like to try it. For a monthly subscription price, I think it's like $15, they send you makeup and cosmetic samples (ex: lotion, creams etc). The headband you see me wearing was in my latest bag. It's soul purpose is just to hold your hair back while you wash your face or do your makeup. It worked perfectly, once I took it off I just raked my hair with a comb once over and we were good. It is called the "GLOW ON 5TH Plush Skincare Headband" and the link on Ipsy is Here and the link to the Company "Glow On 5th" website is Here. My Ipsy Subscription is also responsible for my Clinique lotion I'm using in the video and I will be purchasing the full size because my skin drinks it. (My mom used to only use Clinique so I'm kinda stoked and sad but it also makes me wanna use it all the more). CLINIQUE Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+™ link on Ipsy is Here. My beauty blender is from Target and I'm telling you I love that thing. It smoothed my concealer in flawlessly. I am not capping on the video. I literally purchased it because the color combo was just fly but it really is worth the $5 so if you would like to purchase it Here you go. I think EVERYBODY knows about IL MAKIAGE concealer so I don't think there's much to say there. Once you get your shade right, it is effortless. My eyeshadow as you can see was a mixture of my Pink color from NYC Cosmetics and then my handy dandy makeup palette that I think is in EVERY hair store there is. However the two shade palette I used also came from my Ipsy subscription (you starting to see the value here? lol). I absolutely love the bronze shimmery color. A lot of my bronze shimmery colors don't really show up or they like ball up and won't really go on properly, I don't really know what that's about but anyway, I love this one. It's SHAINA B MIAMI B. Brazen Eyeshadow Duo and if you would like to try I was indeed kind enough to put the link Here. My lipsticks were a mixture of The Maybelline Color Stay brand and then my NYX Cream Lipstick and I really am a fan of those. And that was all folks. I actually am going to do a vlog about my hair experience so I can really talk about it because I want to encourage being confident and staying confident and working on your look until you are confident so I'll do that this week. If you follow me on social media you will know when I do it. Thanks for swinging by. If there is anything I didn't answer or a link I didn't share that you want just let me know in the comments and I got you. Have A Great Week!
