BUT STILL GROWING

I am in the process of really trying to figure my hair out. My mane has always been one of my most treasured possessions. I've never had trouble growing hair but over the last few years I've hit some hurdles because natural and stress don't mix. Stress and a perm would cover for you but this natural will expose you. What I also did not know is that being natural is a science not an art *rolls eyes.

So I came across this one video and....... PAUSE

So back to the story, the lady took you through her regimen on wash day and what she does. I noticed that her hair was healthy and growing but to just look at it was matted and she couldn't even run her fingers through it. Nevertheless it was still healthy. It was at this moment that I started laughing. If I told you the state my life was in right now I'd wager that I could make the hair on your arms stand up, give you goose bumps or at least make you tingle LOL. You would wonder how I'm climbing out of my bed.

To the best of my knowledge and ability I'm doing what I can and what I'm supposed to do in areas. Some could benefit from a tad more discipline, I would absolutely own that but overall, all things considered I think I've come through this furnace like the three freakin Hebrew boys. I have all these ideas in my head and know I'm supposed to execute but at the same time I'm looking at all this that's going on and nothing seems to be going smoothly. At least not as smoothly as I would like. I said this is a mess and in that moment I thought about the girls hair. She couldn't comb through it and I personally didn't find it to be pretty to look at but growing and healthy it was.

I'm heading out to start my unpredictable day but I need you to know that obedience does not always guarantee ease. The path to success does not always look like a rocket ship shot to the moon. People make sure that they don't tell you about the hard parts, success often looks like "flat line, flat line, flat line, Up, plateau, crash back down, up, diagnal but what you need to know is that growth sometimes is ugly, matted, and untamable but it doesn't mean that what you're doing isn't growing. Sometimes you just have to commit to and believe in your process even when your results are underwhelming.
